Ford's Road to Success

Throughout its nearly 120 years of manufacturing automobiles, the Ford Motor Company has always led with innovation. Founded by Henry Ford in 1903, Ford has its roots in Michigan, where, together with General Motors and Chrysler, it joined the Big 3 American automobile manufacturers and dominated the auto industry for decades. Today, the Ford family still controls 40 percent of the company's voting shares.

Interestingly, Ford Motor Company wasn't the first car manufacturer Mr. Ford owned. He started with the Henry Ford Company in 1901 but left the company a year later. Today the Henry Ford Company is still around under a different name - Cadillac. Ford's second company (the one we know today) also got its start with funding from the original Dodge brothers, which illustrates the interwoven history of the Big 3.

Ford was the first car builder to adopt large-scale manufacturing capabilities, including the moving assembly line in 1913, a quantum leap for manufacturing. His methods were eventually copied by competitors, leading to a revolution in the industry. Soon, the mass-produced automobile was born.

Over the years, Ford has owned several sub brands, including the premium Mercury nameplate and the luxury Lincoln brand. At one time, Ford even owned iconic brands, including Land Rover, Jaguar, and Volvo. Currently, Ford continues to maintain a stake in several global brands, including the renowned Aston Martin.

We Sell New and Used Fords

Here at Town and Country Ford, our showroom is bursting with new and used Fords, just waiting for you to test drive and take them home. We are constantly adding new inventory, so our customers have plenty of options at every imaginable price point. Buying a car is a big investment; that's why we believe in a simple, no-haggle sales experience. We want you to feel comfortable and in control of your new or used car purchase every step of the way, from choosing which car you'll test drive to zeroing in on the best possible financing option.

Purchase one of our Ford Blue Advantage certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles, and you'll get the highest quality used car, truck, or SUV around. These vehicles must pass a rigorous multi-point inspection in order to earn either a Gold or Blue certification, which means buyers can expect near new condition without the extra cost of a truly new car.

Gold Certified vehicles are the cream of the crop. They're put through a 172-point inspection and come with a 12-month or 12,000-mile comprehensive factory warranty, as well as seven years of complimentary 24/7 roadside assistance. Gold Certified vehicles are no more than six years old and have fewer than 80,000 miles on them. Thanks to a 7-year or 100,000-mile powertrain warranty, Ford covers repairs on all larger - and more expensive - vehicle components.

Blue Certified vehicles can be up to 10 years old and have up to 120,000 miles. These older but still extremely high quality used vehicles are put through a 139-point inspection and come standard with a 90-day or 4,000-mile comprehensive warranty and 90 days of complimentary 24/7 roadside assistance. A longer comprehensive warranty is available on certain vehicles for an additional cost.
